Dodge Charger Debuts Iconic Plum Crazy Color Option

Standing out from the crowd isn’t always about horsepower and handling. While those attributes help, of course, sometimes a bold color choice is all it takes to grab the attention of drivers and enthusiasts alike. That’s why at Coppus Motors, we’re on the edge of our seats after hearing news that the forthcoming 2016 Dodge Charger will bring back the vehicle’s iconic Plum Crazy paint option, a classic shade of purple that’s been a muscle car staple for more than 40 years. The limited-edition color debuted at the recent Woodward Dream Cruise auto event and will begin to hit showrooms later this year.

Here’s what Tim Kuniskis, President and Chief Executive Officer – Dodge Brand and SRT Brand, FCA – North America had to say about the new hue: “Powerful muscle cars painted in impactful colors make Woodward Dream Cruise the perfect setting for Dodge to debut the newest generation Challenger and Charger models in Plum Crazy.”

While there are big things in store for 2016, drivers can also make the most of the brilliant colors available on the 2015 Dodge Charger. For 2015, the full-size sedan offers sharp shades, such as Jazz Blue, B5 Blue Pearl and Torred, that are sure to turn heads.

Beyond color, the exterior of the Dodge Charger is hallmarked its forward-leaning front crosshair grille, wraparound headlamps and side door scallops. The vehicle boasts vintage muscle car performance and design while also maintaining cutting-edge features and amenities. For example, drivers can take advantage of a powerful 707-horsepower supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi SRT Hellcat V8 engine, which is monitored by a fully customizable 7-inch digital cluster display. This blend of technology and toughness makes for an extraordinary driving experience.
